Our Mission

Camp Idlewild offers youth a wholesome and fun environment under the guidance and supervision of Christians. Camp Idlewild sponsors summer camping sessions and periodic special events for youth (see the "What's New" page for upcoming activities).

Although supported by members and congregations of the churches of Christ, Camp activities are open for all, regardless of religious background.

Our facilities may also be rented by other organizations for retreats or other activities. To inquire about pricing and availability, please contact us.


Our Facilities


Our facilities include rustic cabins housing up to 90 campers, bathhouses, dining hall, snack bar, swimming pool, softball field, playground areas, hiking trails, and much more!



Location


Camp Idlewild is located in the town of Cabin Point in Surry County, Virginia. Our entrance is on Highway 10 approximately 18 miles east of Hopewell, VA and approximately 32 miles west of Smithfield, VA.
